This is probably going to be a short post because it’s personal preference. As a former college student who is basically a techy I love software I don’t think I have ever read a manual for a piece of software in my life EXCEPT those I was forced to read in college. By my very nature this should come as no surprise should anyone like detailed screen shots of what I am about to explain or at the very least instructions I will be happy to give you how to instructions
I have a word doc that is saved on my USB that is password protected and this is where I journal I tried the old pen to paper method but cp chicken scratch that I have doesn’t lend itself well to holding on to said memories. I am now considering moving it to one note also produced by mircrosoft as sometimes I’ve been known to write copious amounts and forget to save. Onenote saves automatically and can also be password protected
OneNote seems like a good idea, as are the various student softwares of recent times and inventions.
(We have Office 2003 around here).
10 minutes is a good saving interval. Sometimes Yahoo will save once a minute, which is good when typing e-mail.
(Your own e-mail software is a good way to keep personal notes and calendar material).
