Metal Hips and Snow Just Don’t Mix
I don’t know if there have been drastic changes in barometric pressure as of late but
there has been a change in my blogging pattern. This is the third of three posts I’ve written today. I’m on a roll, yet I’ll admit I am in a wee bit of pain, so blogging is taking my mind off of it. My left hip and one that I had the osteotomy
on, post surgery, is somewhat of an internal weather station. Or a really good reason in convincing my 93-year-old grandmother to replace her couch which was something like 35 years old and EXTREMELY uncomfortable and because it’s the most central sitting space in her home I’d sit there. And, because the limited mobility I would sit there for the better part of the day. I stood up and my hip popped one time when I was there having sat on the old couch. It was not painful however a little disconcerting so I took myself to the orthopaedic surgeon who told me it was bursitis since grandma replaced the couch this is not an issue at all. Yay for new furniture!
But seriously snow and rain and well drastic changes in weather do affect my day to day comfort. This is something I’ve just learned to overcome and I don’t actually even take anything for it. I’ll be better tomorrow!
