For March blog carnival
I am not going to lie; I am not sure what to write for the blog carnival for this month. The topic is milestones and although I feel this is cheesy to do I think in writing that last paragraph I have answered my own question.
I have written a lot on this blog about the social isolation of disability. I began writing this for me and grappled with the idea of keeping my blog private and thus only allowing me to read it. Then a quick Google search changed my mind. Google revealed that there wasn’t much (if any) accounts about living with cerebral palsy from someone that has it themselves. There was numerous parental accounts but even those felt like they didn’t reflect myself nor my story. So after some days I decided that the only way to create change was to be the change I wished to see reflected online.
After some research into the world of blogging I decided that I would like to join the blogosphere.
I thought okay this is fun and it blossomed into what it is today. In the first 11 months I received 15,000 plus hits at which point I realized it was time, that if I wanted to play with the big boys of the blogging world I’d have to by my own domain (which is what you see today)
I wanted to make an impact on my world little did I know the impact this would have on myself, or that I would change the world in this capacity.
My roots as a blogger
My beginnings as a blogger go something like this mentioned above I am to date completely self taught with the humble guidance of some kind, influential people in my life people who I knew offline, who have seen me grow and evolve into a writer, who have always encouraged me to change and expand my creative processes, who continue to challenge me to explore those difficult moments we all would be happier to avoid. So take all of that and couple it with not seeing a key piece of your life represented online and you have the space I have created here at http://lifeofthedifferentlyabled.com
if you like my content why not help me out by joining my mailing list its free Click Here to Subscribe you will receive a email from me and a free gift just for signing up! and every time i post an new blog post you will get an email for that too.

It’s great to be challenged to explore the creative process and those moments which you (we) would rather avoid.
And, yes, we see the impact that it has had on you and on the world.
The “Milestones” carnival is a particularly rich one.
