customer service

Some time ago now, I went to the mall to buy my bus pass for the upcoming month. My roommate was doing the same. I finished my transaction and moved aside to allow my roommate to complete hers.

Out of nowhere this woman came up to the check-out stepped in front of my roommate and demanded customer service informing everyone that she was on her break and that apparently my roommate and I had all the time in the world. The store clerk who obviously had some good customer service kindly asked her to step aside which she refused so I think he just decided to serve her to get her out of his store.
Being that she said she was on her break I asked her where she worked and she would only tell me that she worked across the hall. I found this whole situation extremely disrespectful even more so being that my roommate was kind enough to let a woman go before her while she got out her payment. By the time the rude customer entered the store my roommate was mid-way through her transaction.
Have you ever had a situation where other customers are plain rude?

Laura Forde founded her blog through my eyes: my life with cerebral palsy in December 2009 out of a great need she had, realizing that there was a vast gap in firsthand accounts of what life was like living with Cerebral Palsy: she knew then that the only way to see this reflected online was to create the change herself and thus this blog was born Laura was born four months premature, weighing a mere one pound three ounces and given ten percent odds for survival. She was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at the age of three. After graduating from college, she continued writing and doing what she loves to do most; speaking to groups about her life experiences and sharing what she has learned from her journey. Her blog lifeofthedifferentlyabled was created after discovering that the online community lacked the voice of people in her situation. In its first year, the site saw over 20,000 hits from all over the world. Her readers are from all walks of life; some with disabilities, parents of children, professionals, and others who seek to gain a better understanding of the world of the differently abled. Yeah,

I think the attitude of “me, myself and I” is quite prevailing nowadays…. Lately I was on a cruise, apparently a vacation, and people cut you off as you embark an elevator…

Too many people are just plain rude nowadays. They have an attitude of entitlement. Humility isn’t a character trait that is often taught.
