Art class and fine motor issues

I was relaxing messing around with artrage studio

today and remembered how much I hated art class in school, why? Well, because I could never emulate what I wanted onto the page. I enjoy artrage because I can undo mistakes without having to scrap the whole work

About lifeofthedifferentlyabled

Laura Forde founded her blog through my eyes: my life with cerebral palsy in December 2009 out of a great need she had, realizing that there was a vast gap in firsthand accounts of what life was like living with Cerebral Palsy: she knew then that the only way to see this reflected online was to create the change herself and thus this blog was born Laura was born four months premature, weighing a mere one pound three ounces and given ten percent odds for survival. She was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at the age of three. After graduating from college, she continued writing and doing what she loves to do most; speaking to groups about her life experiences and sharing what she has learned from her journey. Her blog lifeofthedifferentlyabled was created after discovering that the online community lacked the voice of people in her situation. In its first year, the site saw over 20,000 hits from all over the world. Her readers are from all walks of life; some with disabilities, parents of children, professionals, and others who seek to gain a better understanding of the world of the differently abled. Hello Laura:

I too have a strong visual imagination which can generate new and familiar images.

    The execution is variable!

Are you working in various textures, like wood and clothing/textiles? This could add to technological delights and knowledge.

The gestures on the iPad: did you create any new ones specifically for ArtRage?

I like art but in high school I didn’t like art class either because I was slow coming up with ideas. Also I needed more time than other students to finished projects. I also felt like it was a rush and they never look good. Also teachers could not understand that I could not picture the project in my head. I am a visual person and need to see what I am making before I make it.

Now I found ways that I can enjoy art and that is just taking my time. For example: I use Photoshop Elements 11 to make a layout of what a painting will look like.

Everyone is different but it does not matter on how we do it. It matter on how proud we are at the end for what we have accomplish.

My school art projects looked like a 5 year old did them. If I didn’t have CP I might have ended up becoming interested in animation. It is frustrating. I also had similar issues with written assignments etc which is why I love computers.
