How to handle the cold weather with cerebral palsy

Hi guys today is not the best day for me physically. Its cold and startle reflex seems to be in full force.

I don’t know how you are handling all the cold weather, I personally don’t take too kindly from a muscle perspective.
So my question to all you loyal readers is how do you manage to make the physically days more manageable?

    Because I am getting older my bones hurt that is not related to CP. BUT at change of weather, I get muscle cramps, mostly at night. I take Xanax 0.5 to lessen the occurrences.

    • personally never been a fan of meds but if it works hey who cares! at night i sleep with a hot water bottle or sometimes if its really bad i let my 20 dog sleep with me he naturally lies across my legs which normally i hate but its a rough night physically its a god send

    When your tighter the startle(Moro) reflex goes nuts. I hit somebody in the face involuntarily with my Moro reflex when it was 19 degrees out. Me, I use heating pads and keep myself stretched and moving.

  3. Wear layers! In winter you will catch me with at least two pairs of socks on (maybe even slippers too). Plus two or three layers of shirts.
